Characteristics:

  • Black Force Fiber® Suture is 100% ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) making it incredibly strong, durable, flexible, and nonabrasive.
  • Distinct color for better suturing contrast against surrounding tissue.
  • Proprietary coreless braid configuration, developed by Teleflex Medical OEM, creates a pliable, easy-to-handle suture with greater tensile strength than polyester and polyblend suture.*
  • Low knot profile that allows precise knot placement and a smooth tie down.

  • Coreless braid configuration
  • Non-coated suture
  • Patterns: Crisscross or striped

Solid:

  • Black: 100% UHMWPE

Multi-Colored:
(only available in non-sterile spools)

  • White/Black: 100% UHMWPE
  • Blue/Black: 100% UHMWPE
  • Black/White: 100% UHMWPE
  • White/Blue/Black: 100% UHMWPE

Sterilization:

  • Ethylene oxide (EtO)
  • Important: Gamma sterilization is not recommended for Force Fiber® Suture due to potential loss of suture strength.

  • 500-yard spools, non-sterile
  • Cut lengths, 12” to 60” (31 cm to 153 cm), sterile and nonsterile
    • Sterile: Cut lengths and private label
    • Cut lengths with or without tipping (sterile, private label and bulk nonsterile)
    • Cut lengths with attached needles (sterile, private label and bulk nonsterile)
    • Preloaded in assembled medical devices
  • Solid black sizes 5-0, 4-0, 3-0 and 2-0 available bulk, non sterile only

  • The sterile device has clearance/approvals in the US, EU and Canada.
