Capabilities:

• Add steering or deflection to your catheter design for another level of control to the shaft
• We can provide maximum configurability from small deflection of the tip to full motion
• Customized handles for multidirectional devices
• Steering and deflection is also available for introducers

Applications:

Materials:
Shaft materials:

• Liners: PTFE, FEP, HDPE, nylon, and other thermoplastics and fluoropolymers
• Jackets: Pebax^®, PUR, nylon, or other materials
• Multi-durometers from 25D Pebax^® to 80D nylon

Reinforcement materials:

• Round and flat stainless steel wire, Nitinol, and non-metallic materials

Pull wires:

• Stainless steel
• Liquid crystal polymer fiber (i.e. Vectran™)

Reinforcements:

• Braid:
  • Patterns (standard, diamond, and half load)
• Variable PPI longitudinal wires and high tensile, non-metallic fibers
• Coil:
  • Standard or variable pitch (continuous)

Dimensional Information:

• Shaft diameters from 1.1F to 35F
• Tolerances start at +/- 0.001”, depending on size and technical requirements

Radiopacity Options:

• Encapsulated marker bands: Gold, platinum, iridium, and other materials are available
• High loading of conventional radiopaque fillers:
  • Tungsten (bilayer, trilayer) (W)
  • Barium sulfate (BaSO4)
  • Bismuth trioxide (Bi203)
  • Bismuth subcarbonate (BiCO3)

Finishing Operations and Sterilization:

• Laser cutting for both reinforced (braided, coiled) or non-reinforced catheters
• Coating (hydrophilic, hydrophobic)
• Flaring
• Tipping
• Insert molding
